VISUAL ARTS The art department at Gibault offers the opportunity to create in a wide range of media. When the artwork is complete, your piece may be entered into any one of the many contests in which our students participate. A recent Gibault graduate won the Congressional Art Award and had his artwork displayed in the Capitol in Washington, D.C., as well as a $20,000 scholarship. Another received a national award in the Sister Cities Art Contest and was one of twelve in the nation to have his artwork included in a calendar. Gibault art students have been recognized most recently as winners in Art on the Square and Art DuJour where they took 4 of the 5 top prizes offered in each category. Gibault art students also host art shows and contests throughout the year.
