SPIRITUAL LIFE

Spiritual life is a vital part of the Gibault experience. Our mission is to foster faith and inspire a commitment to justice and service in each student.

We open and close each school year gathered in prayer. The class day begins with the entire school praying together via the intercom. Many classes and sporting events begin with a prayer or spiritual thoughts.  In all that we do, we "humble ourselves before the good Lord."

Once every 6 school days, each class gathers in our newly remodeled chapel for liturgies, prayer services, and discussions of current events in the context of the Catholic faith.  Penance services for the entire student body are offered at least twice a year and each class shares the experience of a yearly retreat to deepen their spiritual life.

Community service plays an integral part in the spiritual development of each Gibault student with service hours required of each student each year.  As they grow in age and spirituality, we also require seniors participate in the , a program in which the students go out into the community to serve with compassion.
