MATH TEAM The Gibault Math Team is open to all students at Gibault who have an interest in math. Tests are either multiple choice or short answer and, as such, are good practice for standardized tests such as the ACT or SAT. Participating on the Math Team may increase self-confidence and improve scores. The team competes at meets held at Soutwestern Illinois College, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and, occasionally, at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park Campus against other high schools in the area and the state. Gibault's Math Team earned 1st place at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics Regional Math contest in 2008 and 3rd place in the Southwest Math Conference Fall 2007 series.
